Job Description:

    1. Listen to customer requirements and present appropriately to make a sale
    2. Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone calls and emails
    3. Cold call to arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business
    4. Respond to incoming email and phone inquiries
    5. Act as a contact between a company and its existing and potential markets
    6. Negotiate the terms of an agreement and close sales
    7. Gather market and customer information
    8. Challenge any objections with a view to getting the customer to buy
    9. Advice on forthcoming products and discuss the special promotion
    10. Create detailed proposal documents, which are largely dictated by the prospective customer
    11. Make accurate, rapid cost calculations and provide customers with quotations
    12. Build good working relationships with existing dealers and distributors
    13. Establish a new dealer/distributor network in unexplored territories
    14. Research the market and related products
    15. Present the product or service favorably and in a structured professional way face to face
    16. Negotiate price, costs, delivery, and specifications with buyers and managers
    17. Liaise with the production team to check the progress of existing orders
    18. Record sales and order information, entering details into the software
    19. Represent the company at trade exhibitions, events, and demonstrations
    20. Feed future buying trends back to the manager/employer
    21. Review your own sales performance, aiming to meet/exceed the sales target
    22. Attend team meetings and share best practices with colleagues
    23. Sales personnel are generally expected to look professional and smart, particularly when liaising with clients
    24. Willing to travel as and when required
